Ryan Douglas, owner and Head Trainer at
Born to Lead K-9 Academy, is a certified master dog
trainer titled in obedience and behavior modification.
He is a professional member of the IACP,
a member of the APDT and a member of the K-9 Circle
in Raleigh, NC. Ryan is a graduate of North State
Canine where he studied extensively under one of the world's
leading canine trainers and completed several months of extensive,
hands-on training. Ryan's personal experiences alone give
him tremendous insight into dog training, however, his formal
education qualifies him as one of Raleigh's most accomplished
and well-credentialed trainers available to the public.
Ryan works with several rescue groups and often donates his
time to help evaluate and place dogs in new homes. During
the spring and summer months, he offers free training and
socialization classes at Millbrook Dog Park located in Exchange
Park in Raleigh, NC.
Ryan has over 10 years experience training dogs and through
the years has also worked with some of the best canine trainers
around. However, Ryan’s best teachers have always been
the dogs. Ryan is not a breed specific trainer and he is prepared
to work with any breed, of any age or temperament. He is constantly
reminded that the key to unlocking any dog’s true potential
is to properly communicate with them and to fulfill their
needs.
Owners are quick to blame their dog for unwanted behavior
and they don’t realize that their behavior has the greatest

psychology and behavior principles that govern all dogs, regardless
of size or breed. We will teach you how to identify the warning
signs of behavior problems and correct them before they even
occur. During your first consultation we will demonstrate
for you with practical, everyday scenarios how to quickly
control your dog and influence ALL ASPECTS
of his behavior.
We will come to your
home and evaluate your dog in his natural, everyday environment
to determine your training needs. This helps ensure that the
training is specifically tailored to your dog's exact problems
and addresses them where they occur. We serve the entire Raleigh
NC area. Our service
area includes: Angier, Apex, Benson, Cary, Clayton, Fuquay
